Michael Rucker designated for assignment by Cubs

Fantasy Impact:
The move was made in order to clear a 40-man roster spot for reliever Hector Neris, whose deal became official on Thursday. Rucker tossed a 4.91 ERA in 35 games with the Cubs in 2023 but also worked to a 1.69 ERA in 13 outings (two starts) at Triple-A, as well.
