According to ESPN NFL Nation's Todd Archer, the Dallas Cowboys will release QB Ben DiNucci.

This means that the backup QB job behind Dak Prescott was won by Cooper Rush and Will Grier. DiNucci spent last season on the Cowboys practice squad and, if he clears waivers, may do the same thing this year. Rush appears to be the Cowboys' No. 2 and Grier the No. 3.

Cowboys QB Ben DiNucci completed 6-of-14 passes for 46 yards while also tallying a touchdown in the team's preseason defeat to the Cardinals.

DiNucci also flashed his running ability, notching ten yards on the ground on a single carry. It wasn't an amazing showing for the second-year player, but he remains the likely backup should Dak Prescott get hurt again this season.
