Fantasy Impact: Bellinger will not need a rehab assignment, per Counsell. He has been out of action due to a fracture in his right ribcage, but he should return to an everyday role once he is reinstated from the IL.


Joe Boyle (back) lands on IL

Fantasy Impact: Boyle struggled against the Marlins Sunday and later stated he tried to work through the lower back pain. The A’s have recalled Hogan Harris in a corresponding move.


Austin Hays (calf) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie Tuesday. (Source: Jake Rill on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hays has been working out in Bowie and will now officially begin his rehab assignment. Fantasy managers should expect a platoon with Colton Cowser when he returns.


Gio Urshela (hamstring) could begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo this week. (Source: Chris McCosky on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Urshela took part in running on the field early Monday, which may have been the final hurdle before being moved on to a rehab assignment. Fantasy managers should expect a more firm timeline for his return once he starts the rehab assignment.

Fantasy Impact: Leone suffered the back injury during his outing Saturday. The team recalled Mike Clevinger from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Impact: Edman continues to work his way back from offseason surgery on his wrist. The 28-year-old is continuing to work on his rehab and has yet to progress to full baseball activities. The move to the 60-day IL should not impact his timeline.

Fantasy Impact: Gallegos has struggled in his last few outings, indicating that he could have been dealing with the shoulder injury for awhile. The team is brining up Chris Roycroft from Triple-A Memphis to provide depth in the bullpen.

Fantasy Impact: Langford is dealing with a right hamstring strain that is expected to cause him to miss 3-to-4 weeks. Jonathan Ornelas has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to take his place on the roster.

Fantasy Impact: Kwan was placed on the IL with a lingering hamstring strain that he suffered in Saturday's game against the Angels. The Gaurdians called up Kyle Manzardo, who should find himself in an everyday role with Kwan on the shelf.

Fantasy Impact: Giants' skipper Bob Melvin stated Monday that Tom Murphy has a Grade 1-2 knee sprain but won't require surgery. The timetable for his return is listed at 4-6 weeks. Patrick Bailey and Blake Sabol will continue to get more reps at catcher for San Fransisco.

Fantasy Impact: Burger is already with the Marlins and is expected to return Monday against the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should expect Burger to return to an everyday role at third base.

Fantasy Impact: Thomas is dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee and is beginning to work his way back into baseball activities. Fantasy managers should expect Thomas to need a rehab assignment before returning.

Fantasy Impact: Jones was placed on the injured list with a back injury last Tuesday. The Rockies expect him to return by mid-May.

Fantasy Impact: Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said If the imaging shows significant healing and Rodriguez doesn't feel any pain, the plan is for him to start throwing again soon after. He has been targeting a return in June.
