Fantasy Impact:
Newcomb will also be invited to the Giants' big league camp. The 29-year-old struggled in 20 appearances split between the Braves and Cubs last season, posting an 8.78 ERA alongside a whopping 14.2% BB% across 27 2/3 innings pitched. A former starter with the Braves, Newcomb has pitched as a reliever in all but one of his 52 appearances over the last two seasons. He posted a 3.60 FIP and a career-best 28.7% K% as recently as 2021, so it's reasonable that he could crack the Giants' roster out of camp.
