Mets reliever Drew Smith was ejected from Tuesday's game following a sticky substance check by umpires. (Talkin' Baseball on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Smith didn't even get to throw a pitch before being ejected as he entered the game out of the bullpen. Presumably, Smith will be hit with a 10-game suspension while the Mets will be unable to replace him on the active roster for the duration of the ban. The right-hander owns a 4.18 ERA through 26 appearances on the season, collecting his first two big-league saves in the process.
