A's skipper Mark Kotsay said Tarnok is on a "spring training-like" buildup as he works his way back from a right shoulder strain. Tarnok, acquired in the Sean Murphy trade from the Braves, pitched two scoreless innings for the Braves last season and also worked to a 3.68 ERA across 10 outings (eight starts) at Triple-A in 2022.
