This was Ramirez's first save since 2020 and in an odd way. He came into the game after Jason Adam got the first two outs of the ninth. Adam gave up a walk and a single, the Rays used a mound visit, that happened to be their last, and they were forced to switch pitchers. This shouldn't change anything for Tampa Bay's bullpen.

While he posted a 6.33 ERA in 23 relief appearances with the Nationals this season, the right-hander also worked to a 2.92 mark in 60 appearances (two starts) spanning 86 1/3 innings with the Nats in the 2022 campaign.
