The Braves have acquired Taylor Hearn from the Rangers.

Hearn was recently designated for assignment by the Rangers, but does have minor league options which provide the Braves with some bullpen depth in the minor leagues. Hearn posted a 10.29 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP in seven innings with the Rangers this season.

Hearn entered the game in the second inning after Brett Martin was utilized as the opener. Hearn was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock following the game Saturday afternoon.

Robbie Grossman and Javier Baez got to Hearn for home runs in the first inning. Right as it looked like he was able to settle down, Detroit poured in another five runs in the fourth inning. Hearn continues to show flashes this season, but his inconsistency doesn't make him fantasy relevant.
Taylor Hearn took the no-decision Monday against the Astros, allowing three runs on seven hits across 5.1 innings to go along with three strikeouts and three walks.

Hearn gave up all three runs in the first couple innings before he was able to settle in. The Rangers came from behind late to save him from taking the loss. Hearn continues to struggle pitching deep into games, working six innings in just one start this season.
Taylor Hearn earned the win in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians, allowing three runs on four hits across 5.2 innings to go along with six strikeouts and two walks.

After tossing five shutout innings, Cleveland finally got to Hearn for two runs in the sixth inning when he was taken out of the game with the bases loaded and two outs. One of those inherited runs scored, which was charged to Hearn. He picked up his fourth win on the season, but his ERA still sits at 5.40 on the year.
