Keep tabs on the young guards' production moving forward to see if his production can begin to warrant any fantasy consideration. The 21-year-old will look to build off his career-high performance when the Trail Blazers visit the Mavericks on Friday.

A few days removed from scoring a career-high 16 points against Detroit, CJ Elleby nearly did it again with 14 against Houston. Scoring 14 alone wouldn’t excite fantasy managers, but if Elleby can contribute in rebounds and assists like he did Friday, he could become a valuable fantasy asset. Houston and Portland play again Saturday on a back-to-back, so you could do worse than CJ Elleby as a punt play in DFS considering how awful the Rockets defense has been.

Blazers guard CJ Elleby flirted with a double-double Monday night, grabbing eight rebounds and scoring 16 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3PT, 4-7 FT) while also blocking one shot, recording three steals, and dishing out two assists in the Blazers' 119-115 win over the Pistons.

Elleby reached double-figures in scoring for just the second time in his last five games, averaging just 8.4 points per game in that span. The second-year swingman will look to build on being more consistent under the tutelage of head coach Chauncey Billups.

Elleby has started 14 consecutive games for the Blazers but has only been able to average 7.2 points and 5.4 rebounds while playing 30 minutes per game. The second-year guard can probably be left on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues unless he can build on Monday's numbers.

Portland Trail Blazers small forward will not play on Monday night against Oklahoma City due to a left hamstring strain.

Elleby will miss his third straight game with a left hamstring injury. He will join a list of Trail Blazers out that includes Nassir Little, Damian Lillard, Larry Nance Jr., and Cody Zeller. Tony Snell and Ben McLemore will likely see increased minutes in Monday's game.
