Jer'Zhan Newton undergoes foot surgery Tuesday

Jer'Zhan Newton has undergone surgery to repair a Jones fracture on his left foot. The Commanders are hopeful that he will fully recover prior to the start of the regular season. (Jordan Schultz on X)
Fantasy Impact:
The second-round pick had a similar surgery on his other foot this past January. If Newton can stay healthy, the Commanders will have a formidable defensive line that also includes Daron Payne and Jonathan Allen.
