Chris Godwin
WR - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2024 Outlook
Chris Godwin said he is looking forward to going back to largely playing in the slot this season.
Fantasy Impact
Godwin added that playing on the inside lets him be more creative and to be more involved in the run game without it being so obvious. He has recorded over 1,000 yards receiving each of the past three seasons, though he could have a season closer to his breakout 2019 season when he hauled in over 1,300 yards and nine touchdowns if he plays primarily in the slot all year.
Chris Godwin was limited at practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
It is an upgrade for Godwin after he was sidelined on Wednesday. He should be good to play in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
Chris Godwin caught 6-of-7 targets for 51 yards in Tampa Bay’s 9-0 win over Carolina.
Fantasy Impact
Godwin led the team in receptions and receiving yards Sunday. The 27-year-old will finish the year with his third straight 1,000 yard season. Godwin does have a 2024 out in his contract, so his status for 2024 will be determined during the offseason.
Chris Godwin caught 3-of-5 targets for 81 yards and one touchdown in Tampa Bay’s 23-13 win over the Saints.
Fantasy Impact
Godwin was quiet before recording a 47-yard touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter. The Buccaneers’ offense struggled to get anything going in Sunday’s loss. Godwin will look to bounce back against the Panthers in Week 18.
Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (knee/rest) did not participate in practice Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Godwin was downgraded to a non-participant in practice Thursday. The veteran was likely just taking a rest day and fantasy managers should expect Godwin to suit up in Week 17.
