De'Von Achane
RB - Miami Dolphins
2024 Outlook
De'Von Achance carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards and one touchdown in the Miami Dolphins 21-14 loss.
Fantasy Impact
De'Von Achances' 25-yard touchdown run was the highlight of the game for the Dolphins' offense. It was also the only effective play Achane had all night. He struggled to run the ball, and he finished with just one more carry than Jeff Wilson Jr. He also only caught one pass for five yards.
De'Von Achane was limited in practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Achane led the Dolphins backfield with Raheem Mostert sidelined. His ability to practice in any fashion on Wednesday is a positive sign for his availability to play this week.
De'Von Achane rushed for 107 yards on 14 carries and caught 4-of-5 targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Week 17's 56-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Fantasy Impact
On Sunday, the rookie was finally able to recapture some of the magic that he had earlier in the season. Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) was out of the lineup for Miami, so Achane saw a total of 19 opportunities in his absence and did well with them, totaling 137 yards and a touchdown in a tough matchup against Baltimore's defense. It's great to see all the promise that he showed in his first year as a pro, and he could end up being a hot commodity in fantasy drafts next year, depending on what happens to this backfield in the offseason.
Dolphins' coach Mike McDaniel said De'Von Achane "should be good to go" for Sunday's game against the Ravens
Fantasy Impact
Achane returned to practice on Thursday after he was sidelined on Wednesday. He could see some more targets out of the backfield with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) ruled out. He will remain a risky RB2 with high upside.
De'Von Achane carried the ball seven times for 24 yards while also catching one of his three targets for seven yards in the Dolphins' 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact
Achane was unable to find much success out of the backfield Sunday, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry while also being held in check as a pass-catcher for the Dolphins. The versatile running back will be tough for fantasy managers to trust in a Week 17 contest against the Baltimore Ravens.
