Ezekiel Elliott
RB - Dallas Cowboys
2024 Outlook
The Dallas Cowboys and RB Ezekiel Elliott have agreed to terms.
Fantasy Impact
Elliott will rejoin the Cowboys after one season away from the team. With Tony Pollard leaving in free agency, the Cowboys were in need of some running back depth. Elliott had a strong season in New England, tallying 642 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 184 rushing attempts.
Ezekiel Elliott is expected to return home, as the eighth-year back visited the Cowboys earlier this week.
Fantasy Impact
Elliott returns to Dallas in the wake of Tony Pollard leaving in free agency, so there is plenty of opportunities for the long-time former Cowboy. He could be an RB3, depending on the results of the NFL Draft
The Cowboys met with Elliott and his agent. While a deal has not been finalized yet, the former pro-bowler may be returning to the team that drafted him.
Fantasy Impact
The Cowboys are in desperate need of RB depth. As it currently stands, their top two options are Royce Freeman and Rico Dowdle. While it is presumed that they'll address the position in the upcoming NFL draft, Elliott's veteran presence can certainly help the Cowboys.
Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys could be heading toward a reunion. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Elliott and the team have "mutual interest" in him returning to Dallas.
Fantasy Impact
Elliott played for the Patriots in 2023, the only season of his career that he was not a member of the Cowboys. He would presumably step into a large role right off the bat as the Cowboys allowed Tony Pollard to leave the team via free agency earlier in the month. Stay tuned as this would be a good fit for both parties involved.
Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 54 yards on 13 carries in the Patriots’ 17-3 loss to the Jets. He caught 5-of-7 targets for 27 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Elliott led the team in receptions and targets and averaged 4.2 yards per carry in tough weather conditions. The 28-year-old was on a one year deal in New England and will be a free agent in the offseason.
