Keenan Allen
WR - Chicago Bears
2024 Outlook
The Los Angeles Chargers are trading WR Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a fourth-round pick, according to multiple reports.
Fantasy Impact
The Chargers entered free agency wildly over the NFL salary cap and have been making moves throughout the week to clear space. WR Mike Williams was released, edge rushers Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa agreed to restructured contracts, and now Allen has been traded. For the Chargers, their WR room is suddenly without its top two pass catchers, and new HC Jim Harbaugh will certainly want to bring in some competition for WRs Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnston. In Chicago, Allen joins a revamped offense that has added RB D'Andre Swift and TE Gerald Everett to go with WR DJ Moore, TE Cole Kmet, and, presumably, QB Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Keenan Allen remained sidelined from practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Allen appears to be well on track to remaining sidelined for the season finale. He will have one more day to practice just in case.
Keenan Allen remained sidelined from practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Allen has yet to practice since injuring his heel in Week 14. He will likely remain sidelined this week with the Chargers having nothing to play for.
Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out of the team's Week 17 matchup with division rivals Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Impact
Keenan Allen has been out for your fantasy playoffs so far, and if you're still alive, it's a testament to your team. You'll have to manage for one more week, as he will not play. It seems unlikely he will play again this season given LAC's situation, which would give him season totals of 108 catches for 1,243 yards and seven scores.
Chargers WR Keenan Allen (heel) did not participate in practice Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Allen was spotted working to the side with trailers, but did not practice with the team. The veteran has not played since Week 14 and would need to log practice time ahead of the Chargers’ Week 17 game with the Broncos.
