Stefon Diggs
WR - Houston Texans
2024 Outlook
Pro Bowl WR Stefon Diggs has reworked his contract with the Houston Texans, clearing out his final three years (2025-2027) to essentially create a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
The Texans are converting his future injury-guaranteed money into guaranteed money in 2024, giving him a one-year pay raise and setting him up for free agency in 2025. Diggs, who appeared to lose a step — for one reason or another — in 2023 has an incentive to perform in 2024 for a new payday. However, the Texans are not eligible for compensatory-pick compensation for Diggs if he leaves due to the nature of his restructured deal.
The Bills are trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for draft picks, including a 2025 second-round. The Bills are also sending a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick.
Fantasy Impact
After an underwhelming 2023 fantasy season, the four-time Pro Bowl receiver now lands with the Texans to play with C.J. Stroud and alongside Nico Collins and Tank Dell. The concern for fantasy managers is that Diggs is entering his age-31 season, and the drop in production could be a harbinger for things to come. Additionally, with Collins and Dell in the mix, there are a lot of mouths to feed in what should be an outstanding passing game. The change of scenery might benefit Stroud's fantasy managers more than Diggs's at this point in his career.
Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (foot, vet rest) did not practice on Thursday ahead of the AFC Divisional Round matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact
Diggs' late-season struggles have been well-documented; he has not cleared 100 yards since Oct. 15 and has cleared 65 yards just three times since then (12 games). The Chiefs have been steady defensively all year and present a difficult matchup for the veteran WR, especially without a reliable WR2 to help give Diggs better looks. He should be able to play Sunday, though.
Stefon Diggs caught seven of his eight targets for 87 yards in the Buffalo Bills 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Diggs had a good night, but he could have had a massive one. He was wide open in the first quarter, but Josh Allen overthrew him for what would have been an easy 89-yard touchdown. Still, Diggs made numerous big plays throughout the game, and he has a solid matchup next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Stefon Diggs caught 4-of-7 targets for 26 yards in the Bills’ 27-21 win over the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Diggs also tallied five rushing yards on one rushing attempt. The veteran tied for the team lead in targets and receptions with TE Dalton Kincaid. Diggs remains a must start for fantasy managers playing in Week 18 as the Bills take on the Dolphins to close out the regular season.
