Zay Jones
WR - Arizona Cardinals
2024 Outlook
Zay Jones has come to an agreement on a one-year contract with the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Jones was released late last month after spending the last couple of seasons with the Jaguars. The 29-year-old wide receiver will bring seven seasons of NFL experience to the Arizona receiver room. Jones had his best campaign as a pro in 2022, hauling in 82 passes for 823 yards and five scores. He was limited to nine games last season due to multiple nagging injuries and finished the season with 34 grabs for 321 yards.
Free agent wide receiver Zay Jones is scheduled to visit with the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Jones was cut by the Jaguars earlier this offseason coming off a season that was marred by injuries. He played in nine games and caught 34 of 64 targets for 321 yards. However, he had 82 catches, 823 yards and five touchdowns the season before. Jones has met with the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys and could provide a reliable but unspectacular boundary threat to whichever team he lands with.
Zay Jones is reportedly visiting with the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Jones was released last week, and recently visited with the Titans. He is expected to meet with other teams soon as well as his market heats up.
Zay Jones has been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact
Jones has been a member of the Jaguars for the past two seasons, but now he will hit the open market as a free agent after Jacksonville released him on Tuesday. The team likely feels more secure about their receiving core after bringing in Gabe Davis and rookie Brian Thomas Jr. this offseason, and letting the veteran go will also open the door for Parker Washington to get more reps, who flashed some potential in his limited action last year. Jones is a talented player and could find fantasy relevance if he lands with the right team.
Zay Jones caught 6-of-9 targets for 47 yards in the Jaguars' 28-20 loss against the Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Jones missed over half the season due to injuries. He was able to show flashes of success when healthy this year, but it didn't come in a consistent manner. He has one more year left on his current deal with Jacksonville.
